14 people have been arrested during early morning police raids to crack down on the supply of Class A drugs.
More than 100 officers have taken part in raids across Colchester and Clacton today (Thursday 8 Dec).
It's part of an on-going operation to crack down on the supply of Class A drugs in north Essex.
Officers carried out the raids after receiving intelligence from people in the local communities.
16 premises were raided today (Thursday 8 Dec).
It follows 12 arrests made during raids in October.
Officers were supported by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
Superintendent Glenn Maleary said: "I am pleased with what we have achieved so far. We have been working with the community who have fed in their concerns and we are there to make sure we get rid of these cases that most harm the communities.”
