Money Raised For Colchester Army Recovery Centre

More than £4,000 raised for Help for Heroes will help fund the building of the Personal Recovery Centre.

The facilities at Colchester Garrison are due to open next Spring and will give wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women additional care and support.

Colin Martin's a special constable with the British Transport Police. He organised a charity golf day back in July after a colleague's son was badly injured in Afghanistan.

Colin's been speaking to Heart.

25-year-old Lance Corporal John Boggi lost both his legs and an arm when an improvised explosive device went off in January.

His dad Sergeant Paulo Boggi has been speaking to Heart.
