Tiptree: Man Dies And Woman Injured In Crash

A 25-year-old man from Colchester has died after two cars collided in Inworth, near Tiptree yesterday (Monday December 12th).

Emergency services were called to Kelvedon Road at 5.44pm following reports of a collision between a Ford Ka and a Ford Ranger.

The 25-year-old was a passenger in the Ka which was being driving by a 28-year-old woman, who is also from Colchester. She was taken to Colchester General Hospital with non-serious injuries.

The Ranger driver, a 45-year-old man from the Tendring area, received minor injuries and did not go to hospital.

Essex Police closed the road until 12.30am this morning (Tuesday December 13th) while they carried out an initial investigation into the cause of the crash.
