Penzance & Perranporth: Counterfeit Notes

Police have released CCTV footage of a woman suspected of passing counterfeit £20 notes in Cornwall.

All the incidents occured on Friday 27th September in Perranporth and Penzance between 11:45am and 12:30pm. 

The shops visited include: 

  • the Holiday & Camera shop 
  • the Beech Hut 
  • Horizon 
  • Higgins Shopping 
  • Arcade Perran Hardware

Later the same day the same woman visited Curreys store on the Heliport Retail Park in Penzance where she purchased a camera again using counterfeit twenty pound notes. 

The suspect is described as being a white woman, aged between 25 to 35 years of age, slim build, 5'4" in height, shoulder length hair in a bob style. 

She spoke with a Welsh accent and wore a white top and black trousers.
