this unique, fun and educational day out for all the family!
Each day from 10am to 6pm. The Loxwood Joust¹s unrivalled programme of

Event details: Our Pass It On Team opens the door for us to delve into CFT’s archive, learn about CFT’s history through material, discover Laurence Olivier and Lesley Evershed-Martin and their connection to CFT. Luke Osborne, our professional drama practitioner, will use CFT’s archive material as inspiration to create original performances which will be shared at the end of the week in The Riverside Theatre, at Chichester College.

Pirates & Smugglers Day

Event details: Showcasing the highly skilled performers of Raven Tor Living
History Group, this exhilarating Pirates and Smugglers event on the Lower
Lawns at Arundel Castle treats visitors to the buzz and excitement of the
period. Alongside learning about the Smugglers of Sussex, visitors can also
meet pirates who menaced waters around the world and bask in the tales of an
18th Century story teller. Craft demonstrations, fencing, archery and
displays will also be showcased.
 

Drama Summer School

Event details: Led by Tim Rowland, Lewes Little Theatre Youth Group Leader
with BA (Hons) Perf. Arts, the Drama Summer School is suitable for young
people from 8yrs upwards.
 
Students will devise and produce a piece of drama based on a stimulus. A
very interactive and didactic experience that will include lots of fun,
games and professional exercises that will develop key skills to help
students excel as performing artists.

The Summer School will run for two weeks in August, two hours a day, from
10am until 12 o¹clock at the Lewes Little Theatre on the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th,

There will be a showing of the piece produced during the course of the
Drama Summer School at 1.30pm on Saturday, 16th August after the final
rehearsal in the morning.

February, House of Hats will return to Komedia once again to show case their
unique brand of Folk/Americana. With shining reviews recently from fans at
Uncut, Q and Acoustic Magazine to name a few, and shows in America in June,
2014 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year.
After a successful gig at The Great Escape this year Will and The People
return to Brighton to play at the prestigious Komedia. With 2 Top 10 hits in
Holland and 30,000 fans on Facebook Will and The People are thrilled to be
returning to Brighton and to share the stage with the House of Hats. WATP
are set to release their third album, 'Whistleblower' in September this

Littlehampton Musical Comedy Society - The Little Shop Of Horrors

Event details: Brief Synopsis: Little Shop of Horrors is a Comedy Horror Rock Musical which includes several well-known tunes including the title song, “Skid Row (Downtown)”, Mean Green Mother from Outer space”, and  "Suddenly, Seymour". The music composed by Menken in the style of early Rock & Roll and Motown transport you to 1960’s downtown America where hapless florist shop worker discovers a plant that requires a little more than the usual watering. Seymour Krelborn is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik's, a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker Audrey Fulquard, and is berated by Mr. Mushnik daily. One day as Seymour is seeking a new mysterious plant, he finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for his supper. Soon enough, Seymour feeds Audrey's sadistic dentist boyfriend to the plant and later, Mushnik for witnessing the death of Audrey's ex. Will Audrey II take over the world or will Seymour and Audrey defeat it?

European Beach Tennis Championships

Event details: The European Beach Tennis Championships is a team event,
attracting more than 100 top-ranked players from 20+ countries. The event
will again be held in Brighton on 8th - 10 August and Great Britain will be
submitting teams into all events, men's, women's and mixed doubles
 
The event is taking place at Yellowave on Brighton seafront, a 10 minute
walk from Palace Pier. Entry is free to spectators, seating and refreshments
are available and there will be fun activities during the competition
including the opportunity to try Beach Tennis. An enjoyable day in Brighton
with your family and friends and watch some fun and competitive beach tennis

Brighton's Big Summer Read!

Event details: This August, Churchill Square Shopping Centre in Brighton is
on a mission to get Brighton reading! They will be launching The Big Summer
Read - over two weeks of summer holiday fun devoted to all things related to
books. The Big Read starts on Friday August 8th and runs until the August
24th.
 
With visits from children¹s authors, story telling sessions, reading
workshops, early years specialists on hand with help and advice on getting
started, story telling treasure hunts, games, story-writing events, a whole
host of loveable characters for you to meet, a book exchange and library
corner, The Big Summer Read is designed to inspire people of all ages to get

Event details: The Stud Farm Allotment and Garden Society of Polegate will
be holding their Annual Show on Saturday 9 August from 2pm - 4.30pm on The
Lawns, Hyperion Avenue, Stud Farm Estate in Polegate: just off the A27.
Everyone is welcome to join in with our community event. As well as
horticultural classes, cookery, art and handicrafts and photography exhibits
will be judged. There will be games, raffle and tombola. Prize giving will

Dogfest

Chichester Half Marathon

Event details: The Chichester Half Marathon is a challenging and beautiful
Omulti-terrain¹ half marathon. The route takes in the major City Centre
sights and landmarks as well as spectacular rural scenery. The terrain is a
good mixture of road, paths, cycle tracks and cross country.The Race is
managed by Chichester District Council and Children on the Edge, a local
based charity helping vulnerable children across the globe.
 
The route, which includes a mixture of road, cross country and cycle path
terrain, starts at Chichester College and takes in the historic sites of
Chichester, including the Cathedral and the walls. It then leads up to the
pinnacle of the South Downs before wending its way back down Centurion Way.
 
Prices are £24 for UK Athletics Affiliated Club runners and £26 for non

Palsy is being held at the Holbrook Club, North Heath Lane, Horsham RH12 5PJ
on Saturday 15th of November.
 
The challenge is a really hot one! Walking across 20 foot of 800 degree
coals is no mean feat but you get training beforehand which is inspirational
and huge fun. You will never forget the experience. We know. We¹ve done it!
 
£30 deposit required (includes a bowl of chilli, rice, nachos or veggie
option), with a minimum further sponsorship of £25.
