Alistair was born in Bangor and attended Ysgol Pant Y Rhedyn in his hometown of Llanfairfechan before moving on to Ysgol Aberconwy in Conwy. After leaving school, he spent a short time on the Greek island of Kos as an entertainer before returning to Wales to study for a HND in creative and interactive media awarded by the University of Glamorgan.

At the age of 22 he released his first solo album on the Sain record label but since then he has released 2 further albums and a charity EP on his own independent record label ‘Recordiau’r Llyn’.

Following the release of his first album, Alistair became a familiar voice on radio and television with appearances on S4C programmes such as Gwlad o Gân, Wedi 3, Wedi 7, Cân i Gymru and Gofod as well as BBC Wales Big Welsh Challenge and Children in Need.

In 2007 he took his first step into the world of presenting by becoming a presenter on local radio station Tudno FM in Llandudno before making the move to cover presenter for the then named Champion 103 which soon became Heart.

Alistair now lives in Glan Conwy with his fiancée Llinos and dog Moli.
