2 Men Rob Pensioner In Creekmoor

Police in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with any information to come forward after two men robbed a woman in the Creekmoor area of the town.

The incident, in which two offenders approached a 66-year-old woman and stole her black handbag before making off,happened along Marshal Road between 4.45pm and 5pm on Monday 2 January 2012..
 
The victim, from Poole,sustained a minor injury.
 
The stolen handbag – a medium size black shoulder bag with a black shoulder strap and a zip which runs along the top – contained cash, a bank card and a store card.
 
Detective Constable Emma Hawkes, of Poole and Bournemouth CID, said: “This was a very distressing incident for the victim.
 
“I would urge residents to keep an eye out for a black handbag that may have been discarded somewhere nearby.
 
“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, and anyone with any information about those responsible, to contact police as soon as possible.”
 
The two offenders were wearing dark clothing.
