Abandoned BMW on A31 At Ringwood

Police are appealing for witnesses after a black BMW 316 was abandoned in a dangerous position on the A31 Ringwood Flyover after colliding with the central reservation barrier.

The incident occurred at approximately 11.30pm on Saturday, October 20 and caused extensive damage to both central and nearside crash barriers and the road surface.

The vehicle was left across two lanes of the dual carriageway and the occupants had left the scene prior to police attendance.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who was travelling eastbound on the A31 at around the time who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle being driven immediately beforehand.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit at Totton police station on 101 or the Crimestoppers charity line anonymously on 0800 555 111.
