Appeal For Missing Christchurch Man

A Christchurch woman who's husband went missing more than a month ago, is begging local people to check their beach huts and summer houses for him.

62 year old David Silvey hasn't been seen since January the 29th when he left his home in Barton to go for a walk.

In renewing her appeal, David’s wife, Jackie Silvey, said: "It’s the not knowing where he is that hurts – and the fact that no-one has seen him – I just can’t stop trying to find him. I love him so much.

!I’ve been seeking the help of missing persons agencies and have received a lot of support from them in my search.

"David has a great love of the coast and I’d ask all those living near the shore in Hampshire and Dorset to please check their sheds, summer houses and beach huts – as David may well have taken shelter in such a place.

"It is also possible that David might be staying somewhere with someone’s help – possibly without that person realising that he is missing – and if this is the case then I’d urge David and anyone who is helping him to please call.

"By now David’s appearance may well have changed considerably, although the features in his picture will still be evident – please if anyone knows where he is just call at any time day or night.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 01202 or 01305 22 22 22 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
