Bournemouth Gets More Night Time Buses

Wilts and Dorset announce plans to launch 'Night' buses from June.

In a statement, a spokesperson said:

Revellers and late night workers will benefit from the extra services which we'll launch on Thursday 7 June. The new N3 service will offer late night travellers two buses each hour, starting from 25 minutes past midnight with the last bus at 04.25 on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays.

The new service will travel from Bournemouth square via the Lansdowne, Bournemouth rail station, Charminster, Winton Banks, Moordown, Ensbury Park to Bournemouth University.

Nikki Honer, Commercial Manager at Wilts & Dorset said that from the same date, additional night buses will also be introduced in June on their more m1/m2 services to include Thursday nights:

"We are determined to offer a great alternative way of travelling in the evenings and can offer single night journey tickets at just £3 for one way journeys or a £4.50 ticket for travel on any Wilts & Dorset service after 7.30 pm. With those prices I'm confident that the new night buses will prove popular with everyone other than the taxi services!"
