Man In Court Over Bournemouth Stabbing
A man's been in court charged with aggravated burglary - after another man was stabbed in the leg at a house in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police were called by the ambulance service to an address in Wavell Road in Kinson at 12:15pm on Saturday 25 June, after they attended to treat a man in his 30s for a stab injury to his leg. Once officers arrived it was also reported that a burglary had taken place.
The suspect had left the scene and a search of the nearby area took place, assisted by armed response officers and the National Police Air Service helicopter.
The victim is still receiving hospital treatment, but his injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers say both men are known to each other.
Robert Ian Ward, 38 and from Trinity Road in Bournemouth, has been charged with aggravated burglary and theft of a pedal cycle. He appeared before Bournemouth Magistrates' Court this morning (Monday 27 June.) He's been remanded in custody until going to the Crown Court on 28 July.
Benjamin Fellows was caught again just minutes after he'd been charged for a previous offence.
