Isle of Wight Council bosses have overturned a vote by councillors - who had rejected the partnership to secure £900 million of funding.
Bournemouth: Man Found With Serious Head Injuries
Police in Bournemouth are trying to find out what happened to a man, found in the street with serious head injuries.
The 21-year-old from Essex has been taken to hospital, after officers were called to Glen Fern Road in the town centre at 4.30am on Saturday (17 May).
The man had been found by a member of the public, at the junction with St.Peter's Road.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said they are trying to establish how the man came to sustain his injuries.
Any witnesses should call police on 101, quoting message number 83 of the 17th.
The busy road's being made two lanes in both directions between Segensworth and Titchfield - it's due to take 18 months.
