A mum of two from Bournemouth could make sporting history tomorrow evening.

38 year old Denise Mellor from Queens Park is competing for the first female world boxing title.

She's already one of the UK's most successful female Thai boxer's and has a record of seven wins and five losses.

But she's keen to add the world title to her set of achievement's:

"This is the first time ever that WBC (World Boxing Council) have sanctioned a female world title for Muay Thai boxing, so it's really big."

Denise juggles her passion for boxing with being a mum to her two girls, aged 3 and 12 years. She's been telling HEART she wants to be a good role model to them:

"The youngest is really feisty so I think she will follow in her mum's footsteps! My 12 year old has been doing boxing for most of her life and she's really proud of me."

She also hopes to inspire more women to take up the sport:

"It's great for women of all ages - it gives you confidence, teaches you self defence and is great for fitness as it works every muscle. But at the same time it's not difficult -anyone can do it."

If you'd like to watch the big fight and show your support for Denise, it's taking place at The Carrington House Hotel at 5pm on Sunday 25th July.
