Just before midnight on Tuesday, 2nd February, police were called to Value House Stores on Mandeville Road in the Wyke Regis.

Officers who attended found that there had been a burglary.

Those responsible had climbed a high gate before going to the rear of the building where they had cut their way into a marquee. They made off with twelve CCTV camera systems after setting off the alarm.

Police Constable Chris Bevins, of Weymouth police station, said: “I need to hear from anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity near the premises late on Tuesday evening.

“I’d also like to hear from anyone who has any information about CCTV systems being offered for sale since Tuesday 2 February – and from anyone else who has other information about the burglary or about the identity of those responsible.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 01202 or 01305 22 22 22 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
