CCTV Released In Hunt For Verwood Purse Thief

Police in Verwood investigating a theft in the town have released a picture of three people they would like to speak with.

It happened some time between 2.10pm and 2.40pm on Thursday 31 October 2013 in Morrisons supermarket, in the town. 

A purse was stolen from a handbag belonging to a 69-year-old woman from Ringwood, while she was shopping in the store. 

Police Constable Andrew Robertson, of Verwood police, said: 

"Enquiries have revealed that the victim's bank card was used to buy goods at Tesco Express in Verwood and also to withdraw a large amount of cash from the cash machine there. 

"I am now able to release CCTV images of three people I wish to speak with as I believe they can help me with my investigation. 

"I would urge the people pictured - and anyone who recognises them - to contact me, in confidence, as soon as possible."
