Charity Pot Stolen From Poole Restaurant

Police in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a burglary at a restaurant near Ashley Cross.

The incident, in which offenders smashed a pane of glass at the front of La Cruz restaurant on Commercial Road and stole a Help for Heroes collection pot, happened some time between 6pm and 8.30pm on Monday 2 January 2012.

The charity pot contained around £200.

Police Constable Amy Burbidge, of Poole police, said: “I am appealing for anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in or around the La Cruz restaurant on Monday evening to contact me urgently.

“The restaurant is on a busy road and it is possible that someone, perhaps several people, may have information that will help to bring those responsible to justice.”
