An inquest has been opened into the death of a man whose dismembered body was found in a flat in Bournemouth.

It is believed William Spiller, 48, may have lain undiscovered for several weeks at Lacey Court in Stedman Road in Southbourne.

Bournemouth Coroner’s Court was told how police went to the address after a neighbour became concerned for his welfare.

Officers found his dismembered body in plastic storage boxes on Monday 17 June.

Mr Spiller's son, 26-year-old Nathan Robinson, has been charged with his murder after being arrested in the Birmingham area.
