Dorset Police Investigating Sex Attack
Police in Sturminster Newton are investigating an attempted sexual assault on a woman in the town.
It happened at around 2pm on Monday 13th May 2013 on a footpath near the sorting office on the Butts Pond Industrial Estate.
The victim, a 27-year-old woman from Sturminster Newton, was pushed to the ground by an unknown man who then attempted to indecently touch her over her clothing.
She managed to kick the offender off and he fled the scene. The woman wasn't hurt.
Police Constable Andy Marsh, of West Dorset CID, said:
“This was an unprovoked attack and it is likely that a number of people would have been in the area around the time it took place.
“The offender is described as a white man aged in his twenties, around six feet tall and with black hair.
“He was wearing a black v-neck jumper with tracksuit bottoms that had a thin white line down the side of the leg.
“He also had facial piercings and a tattoo on his neck.
“Witnesses and anyone with information about the incident should contact Dorset Police as soon as possible in the strictest confidence.”
No arrests have been made.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101.
31-year-old Gareth Mills from Shaftesbury admitted December's attack in Ringwood Road in Alderholt.
The 18-year-old woman couldn't remember what happened in Damerham High Street - near Fordingbridge.
The two cases happened in the early hours Cambridge Road and Burnaby Road.
