Elephant Model Sells For Nearly £60,000!
A 4.5 inch bronze elephant being kept in a pensioner's cabinet has turned out to be an 18th century treasure worth £59,750.
The 500 year old antique has been sold at an auction in Dorset after the owner passed away. Auctioneer Matthew Denney at Dukes of Dorchester said:
"When I told the client how much it went for, he couldn't stop shaking for quite some time."
It was modelled on an elephant owned by Maximillion, Archduke of Austria and was sold to a collector in Hong Kong.
The first rail freight service from the UK to China has arrived.
A tracker device led to it being recovered in Totton - a man's been questioned.
Special constables will be trained in CPR, using oxygen and defibrillators so they can be first responders if they're closest.
