Family Of Hit And Run Victim Pay Tribute

The family of a 46-year-old man who died following a collision in Poole have issued a tribute to the media.

Ray Tutton was crossing Poole Road in Branksome when a blue Nissan Micra collided with him at around 1.50am on Saturday 24 December 2011. He was taken to Poole Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Ray's wife, Liz Tutton, said:

"Ray was the funniest, kindest man you could ever meet. He made friends everywhere we went. He had just been promoted at work and we were all so proud of him.

"He is going to leave a huge void in the lives of myself and his children, Sunita, Ray and Sarah. He lived for his family and the dogs – we are going to miss him so much.

"We would like to thank the two members of the public who followed the driver and called the police. We owe them a lot."

Ray's sisters and brother – Sandra, Teresa, Debra and Gary – added:

"We would like to say a huge thank you to the police and the staff at Poole Hospital for all their kindness and care that was shown to us all.

"Our brother loved life, his job, his golf, but most of all his wife and children.

"We all love and miss him so much."
