Four Arrested In Boscombe Drug Raid
Officers in Boscombe have made a total of 17 arrests as part of Operation Dismantle - an intelligence-led initiative focused on drug dealers and their associated criminality.
The focus, which began on Tuesday 1 May 2012, has also seen officers stop and search 60 people suspected of possessing controlled drugs.
The arrests made so far include possession of cannabis, possession of heroin, and money laundering.
On Friday 11 May 2012, specially trained officers carried out a drug warrant at a property on Stourvale Road in Boscombe.
This resulted in the arrests of three men aged 42, 52 and 22, and a 42-year-old woman for possession of heroin and intent to supply heroin and cannabis.
Boscombe is being targeted by Police following concerns from the local community and intelligence gathered over the past six months.
Further to the operation, individuals encountered by officers will be referred to the Bournemouth Assessment Centre for drug and alcohol rehabilitation in a bid to help them get their lives back on track.
So far six people have been put forward for this support.
Bournemouth East Police Neighbourhood Inspector Chris Weeks, said:
"To date this operation has demonstrated how we have listened to our communities concerns in relation to drugs and criminality.
"This focus will continue throughout this operation, but we will also continue to use community intelligence to take positive action against those individuals who use and deal drugs".
