Drugs Factory Search Continues..

Forensic teams continue to search the property on Methuen Close in Springbourne after police confirmed it WAS being used as a Drugs Factory.

Residents living nearby had to be evacuated on Tuesday 28th March 2011, while officers carried out checks at the property.

A 56 year old Bournemouth man arrested that same day as a result of police enquiries under the Misuse of Drugs Act, is still being held by police for questioning today (March 31st).

Part of Operation Dismantle, this latest arrest is just one of many that have been conducted throughout Bournemouth over recent months.

An investigation is ongoing into the suspected manufacture and production of the illicit drug known as Crystal Meth.

Inspector Chris Weeks, East Bournemouth Section Commander, said:

"We are working closely with our partners in this incident and are taking precautionary steps to keep the public safe.

"I would encourage anyone with information about drug supply in the area to report it to Dorset Police in confidence as we are determined to show those involved in criminality that it will not be tolerated."
