Investigation Into Road Rage Row

Police in Poole are investigating a road rage argument involving a man and a woman along Holes Bay Road.

It happened at around 1.15pm on Friday 7th December 2012 near the Towngate Flyover.

A 40-year-old woman from Poole, driving a silver MG car towards the Hungerhill roundabout, was forced to stop suddenly after merging with traffic.

This caused the vehicle behind her, a bright orange or red Vauxhall Corsa driven by an unknown man, to brake hard and come to an abrupt stop.

Moments later, the driver of the Corsa was seen to throw a stone like object which cracked the windscreen of the MG and then shout a torrent of offensive remarks at the victim.

The driver then turned off and headed towards Dear Hay Lane.

Police Constable Phil Prentice, of Poole police, said:

“This incident has caused the victim a lot of distress, and she has been left shocked by what has happened.

“She has also suffered damage to her vehicle which is likely to cost her money.

“I would ask anyone who has any information, or who witnessed this incident to please contact myself by calling 101.

“The driver of the offending vehicle is described as a black man of slim build and with dark hair.”
