Jewellery Stolen From House In Wimborne

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a burglary at an address in Wimborne.

The incident, in which unknown offenders forced entry to a house in Oakley Straight, Wimborne, is believed to have taken place between 5.30pm and 6pm on Thursday, 15 December 2011.

A gold Seiko ladies watch and a white gold Pandora ring were stolen during the incident.

Police Constable Sian Coombs, of Poole police, said: “The house is opposite a bus stop so it is quite possible that someone stood at that bus shelter, or walking along Oakley Straight between 5.30pm and 6pm, may have seen the offenders.

“Witnesses or anyone with information should contact me as soon as possible.

“I’d also urge anyone who has been offered items of jewellery for sale in unusual circumstances, or for an unusually cheap price, to contact me.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 15:383. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
