Man Attacked In Street

Detectives in Bournemouth have released a CCTV image of 3 men they would like to speak to following a robbery in the town centre.

A 34-year-old local man sustained bruising to his face after being approached by 3 men who hit him and stole his mobile phone.

It happened along Stafford Road, just after 6am on Thursday, 18 March 2010.

Detective Constable Keith Palmer, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “Following enquiries, I am now able to release CCTV images that show three men that I am eager to speak with.

“I would urge those pictured – and anyone who recognises any of the men pictured – to contact me, in confidence, as soon as possible.

”It could be that any one of the men pictured will have information that will help me to find out exactly what happened along Stafford Road during the morning of Thursday, 18 March.

“I’d also urge anyone who witnessed an incident in which a man was attacked by three men in the Stafford Road and Old Christchurch Road area, and anyone who has any information about those responsible, to contact me urgently.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 01202 222 222 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
