Man Charged Over Restaurant Worker Attack

A man's been charged over an attack on a restaurant worker in Poole.

Police received a report of a serious assault at Georgie Porgie’s restaurant in Tower Park at 4.53pm on Monday, 26 September 2011 - reportedly involving a knife.

A 20-year-old Poole man, an employee at the restaurant, had sustained serious injuries to his arm and body.

He is being treated at Poole Hospital - his injuries are not life threatening.

It is believed that the two men are known to each other and police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the
incident.

22-year-old Deepak Lohan from Bournemouth has been charged with causing GBH with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

He appeared at Bournemouth magistrates court on Wednesday, 28 September 2011.
