Man Charged Over Weymouth Armed Robbery

A man’s been charged after an armed robbery at a post office in Weymouth.

It happened at the Abbotsbury Road post office on the 2^nd of March 2011. Cash was taken at gunpoint and a woman was kidnapped when her car was used as a getaway vehicle.

25 year old Colin Paul Douglas from Weymouth remains in prison custody and is due before Bournemouth Magistrates Court on the 21^st April 2011.

Today (Wednesday 13^th April, 2011) he’s been charged with robbery, false imprisonment, committing a dwelling burglary, and commercial burglary, theft, taking and driving away a motor vehicle and possessing a firearm.

These charges are in addition to charges made against him on March 5^th, 2011.
