A31 Crash Victim Named

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal road traffic collision on the A31 at Ringwood in Hampshire.

Both lanes of the westbound A31 at Ringwood were closed for nearly 12 hours after the collision in the early hours of Tuesday 16th Octiber 2012.

Officers were called at 2.30am to reports that a BMW car had crashed into a stationary Scania lorry at Poulner Hill.

The lorry was parked up in a layby just after the Burley services.

A Dorset police spokesperson said:

"Police are now in a position to name the man who died AS Ross Lipsett, 53, a warehouse worker from Ringwood."
