Man Dies When Mini Hits Tree

A man has died after he lost control of the car he was driving and crashed into a tree near Christchurch.

Police say it happened at around 16.20 on Monday 25th July 2011 at Roeshot Hill on the A35.

His red mini - which was driving eastbound at the time - crossed over onto the other side of the road before hitting the tree. The 35 year old driver from Brockenhurst sustained fatal injuries.

Any witnesses to the accident or anyone who saw the red mini before it crashed are being asked to contact Dorset Police on 01202 222 222 and ask to speak with PC 881 Freeman. Police are particularly keen to speak with the driver of a silver car which was also travelling eastbound towards Lyndhurst at the time of the incident.
