Man Left With Life-Threatening Injuries

Police in Poole are trying to work out how a man was left with life-threatening injuries.

At 3.30pm on Monday 26 August, a 53-year-old man from Poole sustained serious, life threatening, injuries in the alleyway between Belben Road and Bremble Close, in the Rossmore area.

Detective Inspector Stewart Dipple, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said:

“It is unclear at this time how the man came to be injured.

“He was treated at the scene by paramedics and is now in a medically induced coma at Southampton General Hospital.

“I am keen to speak to any witnesses as soon as possible to ascertain exactly what happened.

“There would have been people in the area at this time of day and I urge anyone with information to come forward.

“All calls are treated in the strictest confidence.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 26:342. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
