Man's Arms Broken In Hit And Run

Police in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a hit and run in the town – a man was left with two broken arms.

The 23-year-old was struck by an unidentified car as he walked across Poole Road, near the St Michael’s roundabout, happened sometime between midnight and 12.30am on Monday, 22 November 2010.

The victim, from Bournemouth, sustained multiple breaks to both arms – he was treated at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

It is believed that the car is yellow in colour. No further description of the vehicle is available.

Police Constable Simon Colvin, of Dorset Police’s traffic unit, said:

“The victim suffered serious injuries as a result of this collision, however the motorist failed to stop at the scene and left him in the road.

“I would like to speak with anyone who saw this collision, and anyone with any information about the vehicle involved, as soon as possible.

“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
