Mum and Children Threatened With Crowbar

Police in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with any information to come forward after a woman was allegedly threatened by a man in the Westham area of the town.

The incident, in which a man was reported to have threatened a 20-year-old woman with a small crow bar, happened along Abbotsbury Road between 12.10pm and 12.20pm on Monday 2 January 2012.
 
The woman from Weymouth was not injured.
 
Police Constable Dale Collins, of Weymouth police, said:

“I understand that the woman was accompanied by her two young children at the time.
 
“I believe passers by were in the area at the time and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to contact police as soon as possible.”
 
A 22-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of provocation of violence and has been released on bail.
