Poole: Pedestrian Hit By Car Dies In Hospital

A man's died in hospital after being hit by a car in Poole.

The 68-year-old suffered serious head injuries after being knocked down on Constitution Hill Road on Friday night (17 October). He died from his in Poole Hospital on Sunday (19 October).

Police are investigating.

A Dorset Police spokesman said:

“A pedestrian involved in a road traffic collision in Poole on Friday evening has died in hospital.

“The deceased, a male from the Poole area aged 68 years, was admitted to Poole General Hospital after being involved in a collision with a red 14-plate Vauxhall Adam hatchback at the junction with Constitution Hill Road and Ashley Road in Poole. It was near to the Sea View Hotel.

“The collision occurred at around 9.30pm on Friday, from which the male sustained serious head injuries.”
