Restivo Pleads Not Guilty To Heather's Murder

A man's been told he'll go on trial next May accused of murdering a Bournemouth mum..

An Italian has pleaded not guilty to murdering a mother whose mutilated body was found at her home in Bournemouth eight years ago with someone else's hair in her hand.

Heather Barnett, 48, was discovered in the bathroom of her flat in Charminster, Bournemouth, in November 2002, by her two children, Caitlin, then 11, and Terry, 14.

Cut hair that did not belong to her was found in her hand.

Danilo Restivo, 38, from Bournemouth, who previously lived in Italy, had his case adjourned for trial at Winchester Crown Court on May 4 next year. He was remanded in custody.
