Schoolgirl Hit By Van In Poole

Police in Poole say they want to speak to a schoolgirl who ran off after she was hit by a van in Poole.

At 5.15pm on Tuesday 2nd October, a white transit van collided with a girl crossing the road near a bus along Poole Road outside Rutland Manor.

The driver of the van stopped to help the girl but she quickly left the scene without leaving any details.

Police Constable Dave Cotterill, of Poole police, said:

“The driver reported the incident to police but I have not been able to obtain any details of the girl.

“She has been described as 12 to 13 years old and was wearing a yellow and grey school uniform.

“I would like to speak with the girl to find out exactly what happened.

“I am also appealing for anyone who has witnessed the incident to call Dorset Police as soon as possible.”
