Two Hurt After Car Crashes Into Poole Nursing Home

Two men have been badly hurt after their car crashed into a tree and a wall outside a nursing home in Poole.

Police tell us it came off the road and skidded across the front lawn in Alexandra Road at around 9.10pm last night.

The burgundy Volkswagen Golf had been travelling in an easterly direction towards Redlands.

One of the men is in a life-threatening condition in hospital.

Sergeant Stuart Pitman from the Poole Traffic Department has appealed for anyone who anyone who saw the car to contact Dorset police on 101.

A force spokesman said:

"This is a particularly quiet area of Poole and this has affected the community.

"Police officers have been deployed to assist the residents and the occupants of the care home.

"We would like to thank the community for their patience while specialist officers examine the scene."
