Woman Attacked In Boscombe

Police are looking for a man who grabbed a woman and tried to drag her into a driveway in Boscombe.

It happened at around 11pm on Saturday, 16 October 2010. The woman was walking towards Bournemouth on Knyveton Road, near the junction with Derby Road at the time.

She sustained minor injuries to her knee and hand.

Police Constable Nina Baxter, of Bournemouth police, said:

“This was a very distressing incident for the victim, which has left her extremely shaken.

“She was grabbed around the hips by a man who tried to pull her onto a driveway.

“The victim managed to break free from him and ran off towards Bournemouth town centre.”

 

The offender is described as being of Indian appearance, between 28 and 35 years of age and approximately five feet six inches tall.

He had short dark hair and was wearing dark clothing.

Police Constable Baxter continued: “Anyone who was saw this incident on Knyveton Road, or anyone who believes they saw the offender in the area on Saturday, 16 October, should contact Dorset Police urgently.”
