‘Our Melting Heart’ on Heart Dorset

RULES

The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at www.heart.co.uk/dorset/) apply to ‘Our Melting Heart’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from 00:00 on 29/01/2010 to 08:59 on 08/02/2010 (“the Duration”).  The "Radio Station" is Heart Dorset.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

1) Details of the Competition 
1.1 To enter the Competition the entrant must go online to www.heart.co.uk/dorset/ and register their details. Online entry will open at 00:01 on 29/01/2010 and close at 08:59 on 08/02/2010.
1.2 The entrant will be required to guess how long it will take for the heart shaped ice sculpture to melt and the replica ring frozen within it to be released from the ice. The ice sculpture is heart shaped with the Heart 102.3 logo at the base. It will be carved from a 1m high / 0.5 m wide / 0.25 m deep block of ice. Guesses will be placed in hours and minutes. The entrant who places the guess closest to the exact time that the ring is released will win an 18 carat white gold diamond ring worth up to £1000 from the client Christchurch Jewellers.
1.3 If more than one person registers the winning guess, one will be randomly selected to win the ring.
1.4 Timing will commence as soon as the insulating wrapping is removed and the sculpture unveiled.
1.5 The sculpture will be placed outside Arcade Jewellers and will be supervised by staff from Arcade Jewellers or the Heart Angels. Overnight it will under CCTV surveillance.
1.6 The winner will be called off air and notified. A letter will be sent to them confirming the prize. They will need to present this letter to the client, along with some identification when claiming the prize.

2) Eligibility
2.1 Entrants must be over 18 to play.
2.2 Strictly one entrant per household
2.3 Entrants must live within the Heart, Dorset TSA as per Rajar survey.
2.4 Competitors are only eligible to win one prize over the value of £500 within a six month period.

3) Prize
a) An 18 carat white gold diamond ring worth up to £1000 from the client Christchurch Jewellers.
b) If the winner would prefer another ring they will be able to choose any from any of the client’s four shops up to the value of £1000. Shops are Christchurch Jewellers - Christchurch, Westbourne Jewellers – Westbourne, Sarum Jewellers – Salisbury and Arcade Jewellers – Bournemouth

4) Extreme Weather
a) In the event of extreme weather conditions that affect the melting process Heart reserves the right to close the competition and run it at another time.
