Vandals have used concrete blocks to cause more than £100,000 worth of damage to an air conditioning unit at a Co-op in St Albans.

Police are trying to find anyone with information about what happened at the store on Cell Barnes Lane between 9pm on Saturday 29 June 2013 and 6.30am on Sunday 30 June.

Police Community Support Officer Lena Bhogaita said: “The damage was deliberately caused using concrete breeze blocks.

"We are asking for the public’s help in letting us know who caused this damage. If you saw anyone acting suspiciously over the weekend by the Co-op or know who may be responsible, please get in touch with us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PCSO Bhogaita at Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101 quoting F1/13/2001.
