Brave Resident Tackled Burglers

Luton police are appealing for witnesses after a brave local resident tackled two men who were trying to break into his home.

The men - who are described as young white males - tried to get into a house in Dallow Road at 9pm on Friday.

They were confronted by the home owner who chased them into the road where they tried to get into a parked blue Peugeot 406.

One was grabbed by the man and there was a fracas in the street until they fled the scene on foot.

Luton police are seeking anybody who may have been in the area and witnessed the confrontation.  The location is a fairly busy road and it is believed there were many other people about at the time.
