Police have today (Tuesday February 8) released CCTV images of two men they want to interview in connection with a serious affray in Dunstable.

The incident happened at 1.34am on Sunday, January 16, near the town council offices in High Street North where there was a confrontation between a group of three men and another who was on his own.

Afterwards the three men left the scene towards Regent Street and the lone male, aged 25 to 30, was found unconscious by passers-by and taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital where he was treated and later discharged.

Two of the CCTV pictures released show a man of Asian appearance, aged 20 to 25, 5ft 10ins tall, slim with dark hair. He wore a dark hooded jacket with a lighter lining and dark trousers.

Another two pictures show a white man, aged about 25, of medium build with short fair hair. He wore a dark bomber-style jacket, black jeans and dark trainers with white detailing above the sole.

Police are also keen to speak to three women, aged 18 to 22, who were in the area at the time. One, who was blonde and wore a long cardigan-type top and leggings, repeatedly tried to intervene.

Anyone with information should contact PC Russell Toohey, in confidence on 01582 473374, the main switchboard on 01234 841212, Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or text to 07786 200011.
