At the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, Helen was the youngest athlete to be selected for the women’s Wheelchair Basketball team.

She started playing the sport when she was just 12 years old. In addition to competing in Beijing, Helen has also represented Great Britain at the 2010 World Championships as well as winning three European bronze medals. When she was younger, she was also a key member of the GB Junior team.

Originally from Watford, Helen is currently studying and playing Wheelchair Basketball in the USA at the University of Illinois.
