Detectives in Luton are appealing for information after an 18 year old woman reported an assault on Saturday night (Saturday 2 April).

The incident happened close to the British Legion in Marsh Road between 11.45pm and 1am when the woman left the pub.

It is believed the woman began to walk down Marsh Road with a man who is described as Asian, approximately 19 years of age, with a toned build, black spiked hair, oval shaped face and a large bridge on his nose, wearing white jeans and white training shoes.

The man took her in to an alley where it is believed she was assaulted and then returned back the pub with her.

Detective Constable Nicole McCaffrey, investigating, is keen to trace anyone who saw the two walking in the Marsh Road area late Saturday night or anyone who can help identify the man involved.

Anyone with information can contact DC McCaffrey at Luton Police Station, in confidence, on 01582 394193, or text information to 07786 200011, or contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
