After all the waiting, the final Harry Potter movie has finally opened.

Some cinemas screened The Deathly Hallows Part 2 at midnight on Friday 15 July 2011 because of the demand from fans desperate to see it at the first opportunity.

Scenes for the film - and its predecessor The Deathly Hallows Part 1 - were shot in Hertfordshire, at Watford's Leavesden Studios.  Scenes were also shot in places like Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead and Hatfield.

The Ashridge Estate near Berkhamsted featured in Part 1 as the backdrop for Lucius Malfoy's house.  Bovingdon Airfield near Hemel Hempstead featured in the night flight sequence at the start of Part 1.  Scenes were also shot at the Galleria Shopping Centre in Hatfield.
