A man who died in a light aircraft crash in Somerset yesterday was from Hertfordshire.

Glenn Paeckmeyer was a company director from Hitchin

His four-seater plane came down in thick fog at Downside School in Somerset on Monday 30th September 2013

He was Chairman of the Hertfordshire Clay Pigeon Shooting Association and was well known in the field

Derek Jackson, treasurer of Herts CPSA, told Heart he'd known Glenn for 20 years: "He's a very nice bloke, I always got on very well with him, he always had a joke to tell you"

A spokesman for shotgun cartridge manufacturer Lyalvale Express said: "Our thoughts are with his family. RIP Glenn - a true gent."
