Man Charged In Connection With Natalia Doherty's Death In Luton

A man arrested in connection with a police investigation into the death of Natalia Doherty has been charged.

Daniel Doherty, 67, of Icknield Way, Luton, has been charged with preventing a lawful burial, obstructing a coroner in the execution of his duty and perverting the course of justice in relation to the discovery of 50-year-old Natalia Doherty's remains in a garden in Luton in December 2015.

The last confirmed sighting of Natalia, who also went by the surname Wilkanowska, had been in April 2003.

The investigation into Natalia's disappearance has been carried out by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.

Daniel Doherty will appear before Luton Magistrates' Court on 26 May.
