Man Stabbed By Burglars In Luton

A man's in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed by burglars in Luton, while his family slept.

A 47-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital, after being stabbed several times during a burglary in Luton.

It happened at 3.25am on Saturday, when three men broke into his house in Wellfield Avenue, as his family slept.

He heard and noise and went to investigate and was then attacked.

The men then fled the house on foot.

His wife and daughter called 999 and he was immediately taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital, where he remains in a serious, but stable condition.

The first offender was a black male with light skin, around 20 years of age, 5ft 1. The second offender was also a black male, 5ft 10. The third offender was a black male, around 20 years old.

Police want to hear from any witnesses who were in the area at the time and may have seen the men before or after the attack.
