Police Are Linking Arson Attacks In Welwyn Garden City

Police are linking at least six fires that they believe were deliberately started in Welwyn Garden City early Saturday morning.

The suspicious fires were reported between 3am and 4:30am.
 
A back door to a home in Burycroft which was alight. 
 
Shortly afterwards, two further reports were received of fires on cars some distance from the initial fire but on the same road.
 
Two further cars, a fence and another rear door were later reported alight in Knightsfield. 
 
Both rear doors and the fence were damaged and all of the vehicles were burnt out.
 
Each location is currently being treated as a crime scene and officers have increased their patrols while the incidents are investigated.
