Bedfordshire Police say the officers were making routine inquiries when the crash happened on Axe Close, Luton, Bedfordshire at 3.30pm on Monday 9 January 2012.  The officer driving and their passenger were taken to hospital suffering arm injuries and back pain.

A number of the passengers on the bus suffered cuts and bruises and needed first aid.
