Stabbing In St Albans

A man in his thirties is in a serious but stable condition after being stabbed.

Police were called to The Quandrant in St Albans on Friday afternoon where a man had stab wounds in his chest and hand.

He was taken to Watford General Hospital but has since been transferred to a hospital in London

Hertfordshire Police looking for a two people spotted leaving the scene in a sliver car.

They have been described as:

-          A white man, aged in his 30s, with a stocky build and bleach blond hair. He was wearing jeans and a black top.

-          A white woman aged in her late 20s to early 30s with black hair and wearing a red blazer.

Detective Sergeant Nina Yuill from the St Albans Local Crime Unit said: 

“Our enquiries are on-going and every effort is being made to trace the suspects. I would reassure people that we believe this was a targeted incident and the offenders and victim were probably known to each other.

“This took place in the busy shopping area of the city and I’m sure there were many witnesses to what happened. If you have not yet spoken with police, but believe you may have witnessed the incident, the circumstances that led up to it or the offenders leaving the scene, I’d strongly urge you to make contact with police.”
